About Us

Behind the creation of KIBBUS dry foods is THEOD. KANTZAS S.A., a company with over 30 years of experience in the primary sector.

The company's vision is realized through a commitment to quality, responsibility, and continuous development, setting new goals as the previous ones are achieved. For us, success requires consistency in maintaining high-standard products and continuous efforts to improve them, in line with modern nutritional needs.

Our History

1972
The founder of the company, Theodoros Kantzas, began his involvement and activity in the primary sector, specifically in poultry farming, in 1972. He quickly realized that the prevailing problems in livestock production were directly related to animal nutrition. Consequently, by the late 1980s, as a shareholder in an animal feed production company, he focused on matters of nutrition.
In 1984 he also began engaging in the wholesale trade of soybean meal and grains. He founded the company Th. Kantzas & Co and built a established storage facility for his goods in the Industrial Area of Preveza. His relentless pursuit of high-quality products was soon recognized, as he successfully introduced, for the first time in Greece, high-quality soybean meal with 47% protein content. This achievement not only solidified his reputation as a professional in the market but also laid the foundation for a significant overall upgrade in the quality of animal feed production.

Over the following years, between 1990 and 2000, he consolidated and unified his individual ventures, and the company assumed its current form and name, THEOD. KANTZAS S.A., with its main activity being the trade of raw materials for animal feeds.
In 2002 new partnership was established, leading to the founding of Kyrkos Ath. - Kantzas Th. & Co.. The company specializes in the production of feed for livestock. The factory is located at the 8th kilometer of Ioannina-Athens Road, serving as the hub for both distribution and sales. This partnership has continued to thrive to this day, having earned a distinguished position in the animal feed industry.
2002
2016
In 2016, the next generation of the family joined the company, and together they embarked on a new venture, this time focusing on pet nutrition.
In 2018 the company acquired the animal feed production facilities of Dodoni S.A. and previously owned by ELVIZ S.A. The existing infrastructure was renovated, and the older production lines were reconstructed and made fully operational. In 2019 an investment plan was developed, set to be completed by 2020. This plan led to the establishment of a new production facility for dry dog and cat food under the commercial brand Kibbus Pet Food. Today, Kibbus products have made a significant entry into the pet food market through an extensive network of partners across Greece.

Our company is supported by a team of over fifty (50) individuals, including administrative staff and those involved in the production process and quality control. Additionally, we have established an extensive network of external collaborators, such as chemists, engineers, and nutritionists, across Greece and Europe, who play a vital role in enhancing and ensuring the quality of our products.

A core principle of our company is sourcing high-quality raw and supplementary materials.To achieve this, we partner with certified and distinguished producers and traders in the field, thereby ensuring a top-quality final product.
